We have worked on this trip To South Africa for a Safari for over a year. It had to be postpones twice due to Covid. Our travel agent was go2Africa who did a great job for us. Sio this May 2021 we were on our way. Our flight to Johannesburg SA took us through Amsterdam and on the way back through Paris. A very long plane ride. From Johannesburg we flew on Airlink airlines to a small airport in Hoedspruit where we were picked up by a driver who drove us to the first of two lodges we would be staying at. Both were Thorneybush lodges. The first was Saseka lodge near Kruger Game reserve where we stayed for 3 days. We then were transferred to Simbanbili lodge in the Sabi Sands Game reserve for 4 days, both are 5 star rated and they sure lived up to that. Every morning and evening we did a game drive as you can see by the photos. The rest of the time we spent eating. In both lodges we had our own either a tented room if that is what you would call it and in the other a chalet. Both had small swimming pools. Every night the staff would surprise us with special meals served in different places which was really cool. Our party of 6 had our own Ranger and tracker in our own vehicle and we ate at our own table. It was a great trip so enjoy my photos, but you had to be there to experience the whole adventure.
